DAN.com Now Integrated with Efty Landers

Earlier this month, Efty co-Founder Doron Vermaat announced that Efty customers would soon have the option to integrate DAN.com buy it now purchase buttons on their landing pages. This would allow sellers to automatically facilitate new transactions via their DAN.com account. This morning, the company announced the integration has been completed.

To see how this integration looks in a real world example, MovingUp.com has DAN.com buy it now and make offer buttons on its landing page. When a prospective buyer clicks on either of those links, they will be taken to the corresponding page within the DAN.com website:

Efty customers still have the option to use Escrow.com for its buy it now buttons. I was told customers are able to choose the escrow provider on an account-wide basis, or they can choose it on an individual domain name basis as well.

There is a 5% commission sales fee at DAN.com for customers who close deals via Efty landing pages with the DAN.com button. This compares to the standard 9% commission for deals closed on DAN.com landing pages – or the 5% fee for self-brokered sales that transact via DAN.com.

It would be interesting to see results from Efty users to see if either escrow provider has a noticeable lift over the other option. Someone with a large enough portfolio could test this out and see how much of a role the escrow brand plays a role in the deal closing process. For current DAN.com customers, it would also be interesting to see if the self-directed Efty landing page converts better than the standard DAN.com landing pages.

It would be great to see some learnings from people who add the DAN.com checkout buttons to their Efty landing pages.

so how do you set up using efty landing page on your domains in Dan?

  2. DAN.com is not even licensed to provide escrow services, neither in many US states where is required nor in the EU (it’s mandatory under PSD directive).
Doing business with an escrow provider with NO LICENSE is a big NO-NO, if something goes wrong you’re left holding the bag.
    AVOID them.
